Positioning & Customizing Rooms ๐
Once a new room is generated, the app automatically places it aligned to your entrance door, adds it directly to your dungeon map, and saves your progress. You have complete freedom to reposition or adjust the current room and its doors using Edit Room.
1. Edit Room Mode
To adjust the active room's position:
- Click
Edit Roomin the sidebar's Room Controls. - The button toggles to
Done Editing, indicating the room is now in edit mode. - Use the directional arrow buttons (โ, โ, โ, โ) to nudge the room across the grid in 1-square increments.
2. Manual Customization: Edit Doors
If a room's doors do not line up with your physical table-rolling preferences, click Edit Doors while in edit mode:
- This opens the Edit Room Dialog, letting you manually Move a Door.
- Select the door you want to move (North, West, East, or South).
- A responsive slider will appear. The slider automatically adjusts its orientation to match the wall (Horizontal for North/South walls, Vertical for East/West walls).
- Slide the door along the wall to change its grid position. The slider's boundaries are dynamically restricted to the room's exact width or height.
- Click Save to commit your door adjustment.
3. Finalize: Done Editing
- When you are satisfied with the room's placement and door alignments, click
Done Editing. - This exits edit mode and saves the updated room coordinates and door positions to your adventure state.
Finally, see Saving Your Progress to understand how your campaign is persisted.
